This weld-in sheet metal tow eye is designed for the fuel compartment floor of the 911 F-model body. The repair panel sits at the front end of the underbody and is welded into the front of the car, providing a secure mounting point for towing. Later models relocated the tow eye to the side, attached to the front clamp of the steel wishbone mount, making this an essential restoration component for early F-series models.
