This oil pressure piston regulates crankcase oil pressure and is installed in both halves of the engine block via a spring and guide sleeve. Over time, severe wear or engine damage can cause scoring that compromises oil pressure regulation. Replacing worn pistons restores proper oil circulation and engine protection.
