The pressure plate is the central element of the clutch assembly, transmitting engine torque to the gearbox whilst accommodating wear through its diaphragm spring mechanism. Over time, the diaphragm spring can deteriorate or fracture, resulting in clutch slip. A quality replacement pressure plate restores optimal spring characteristics and actuation force across all driving conditions.
