Stabiliser links connect the stabiliser bar to the suspension components, transmitting the forces necessary to improve road holding and reduce body roll when cornering. A damaged stabiliser link is usually recognisable by rattling and clunking noises, as well as strong jolts in the suspension and increased body roll when cornering and braking. All rubber bushings should be checked and replaced during a suspension overhaul.
