I still remember the first Porsche 911 I ever bought.

Hi there,

I still remember the first Porsche 911 I ever bought.

At the time, I was travelling back and forth to Los Angeles, buying Volkswagen campers and shipping them home to the UK. It had been a good year, and I had a bit of extra budget to spend. The plan was simple—buy more campers.

But then I saw it.

A 1968 Porsche 911, finished in sand beige, sitting there for $5,000.

I went to take a look, met the owner—an older gentleman—and instantly felt something about the car. Then he took me out in it.

We headed up into the LA hills… winding roads, sweeping bends… the engine howling behind us… the California sun pouring through the windows.

That was it. I was completely hooked.

I bought it, shipped it back to the UK, and kept it for years.

And if you’re reading this, I know you’ve got a moment like that too.

Maybe it was your first drive.
Maybe it was fixing something late at night in the garage.
Maybe it’s just the way the car makes you feel every time you turn the key.

I’d genuinely love to hear your story.

Just hit reply and tell me about your Porsche—photos welcome too.

As a thank you, I’m going to give away one of our Porsche Motorsport screwdriver sets.
Anyone who replies will be entered.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of your stories (with your permission) in emails and on our social channels—because this is what Stuttgart Spares is really about.

Not just parts.
Real cars. Real people. Real stories.

Looking forward to hearing yours,

Paul

P.S. If you’d rather share on social, post your story and tag us or use #MyPorscheStory — I’ll be keeping an eye out there too.
